When I first heard about Tim Burton making a remake of "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" I thought it was total blasphemy. I don't think anyone CAN replace Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka. I've ready some really good reviews of the movie though, and how they say it's less of a remake of the 1971 movie, but more of a retry of the original book - Or at least Tim Burton's take on the book.
I'm tempted to go in a morbidly curious kind of way.
If anyone goes to see it, let me know how it is. If it stinks, I'm not going to bother with it (til it comes on DVD). If you think it's pretty good, I might go see it when it hits the dollar theater.
