About Community Sites...

You know, no matter how much I hate some people, I don't stop them from speaking their mind.

I don't ban people from posting on my forums just because I don't like them. I don't stop people from saying what they want to say, what they need to say, or tell them what they should or shouldn't say. I believe in that kind of freedom of speech, more appropriately, I believe in freedom of opinions and expression.

"I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."*

Any site pretending to be a community site, to do things for the community... you shouldn't ban people without giving them a chance. Give them that dignity. Give them that right. I don't expect much from people, I am a cynic. I've done my bid for king and country, though. I've done a lot for the community. I don't expect to get shortchanged from little, whining, 'snarky' kids who are afraid of what I'm going to say, think, or do.

You can make the rules, sure. You can demand whatever information you want for joining, sure. That's your right. If someone breaks those rules, you have to right to remove them. Don't pretend you're for the community when you don't give someone the chance first. Don't pretend you're trying to prevent abuse by stopping someone you simply don't like from joining a community. And really, you should get facts first hand. But then again, looking at the communities being run here, I'd have to say that all you're about is making fun of second hand information.

For all those places that do nothing but bash other people, You. Are. Cowards. You are children. You are afraid.

And the laughable matter is, what is there to be afraid of? Well text on a screen is what - funny, that's the exact same thing you're doing in your little communities, isn't it? Your ego isn't worth that much, sunshine. Don't pretend that it is. He who lives in a glass house shouldn't throw stones is all I'm saying. Don't whine when the stones start to get thrown from the outside either.

There's just something inherently wrong when a community, with the sole purpose to bash others, is afraid of the opinions of outsiders.

You're just as sad and pathetic as the people you bitch about. When you grow up, you'll understand this well.
