Well...

I spent most of the day installing scripts, mostly on a test site on Drakkolupen to see how well they'd work. The first of said scripts is PostNuke. After the God-Admin hole in phpnuke, I've been thinking maybe it's time to switch. WOW PostNuke totally rocks compared to phpnuke. If you're thinking about getting a CMS, forget phpnuke and go with post. It's like the difference between a 3 speed automatic and a 6 speed manual. Sure the manual takes a little more fiddling to work right, but you have SO much more control over performance.

Yay, I made my obligatory reference to cars. Go me. That makes me a tr00 w3r3!!1!

The second script is the one I'm really excited about. You see, I've been looking for a Writer's script for a while now. Well, I finally found one that works on hostonce's servers. Well actually I tried this script first when I started trying to set one up way back in August. But I couldn't get it to work with the mySQL. Well, nowadays, I know more about mySQL and I actually manage to finagle my way through it and set it up. Right now it's set as a fanfiction script for my comics. I really hope people submit fanfiction to it, that would rock. I'm going to encourage Kaerwyn players to submit their character's stories as well, as many of them are quite interesting.
