Moved at last

I finally got everything from the house. They put the "This house is vacant" sticker on the door on Friday, so I had to rush to get everything over the weekend before they changed the locks 'n' shit. I did have to leave some stuff behind, like a TV, VCR and TV stand. But I absolutely had no room for them and I know they're not really worth anything.

The apartment is packed with boxes. I mean absolutely packed. If a camera crew came in here, you'd think we were filming an episode of Hoarders. It's going to take a while to go through everything. So now I have to figure out what I want to do with myself over the course of the next year, since we got the apartment's lease for a year to keep the monthly price down.

I have been seriously thinking about trading in the olds and the S10 for another vehicle. The apartment said they were getting complaints about parking spaces around our apartment building and they would be revising the rules. I have 3 cars and my roommate has 2. So I might not have a choice about the olds/S10. And if I trade them in for something, I can really work on my credit. I intend to keep the Avalanche no matter what.

I've been trying to decide what I want to get though. I've been looking at the new Chevrolet Sonics. They're really cheap and it looks like I could easily hold all the dogs in them, among other things. It would be a good daily driver too, especially since it looks to get about 40mpg (unlike the gas hog of the Avalanche).

Though today I was looking at the local Chevy Dealer's stock and a 1998 Chevy Camaro convertible caught my eye. It's a Z28 with a manual transmission, leather interior, all the goodies, 44k miles and it's $13k. I don't think that'd be a bad car to have, but ... not very practical for transporting dogs or being a gas sipper. But damn does it look nice!
