Nah, I think there's actually crap in the gas tank and it keeps clogging up the fuel injectors. It happened again when I was sitting on a hill with 1/4tank of gas. I think it caused the stuff to get sucked up and past the filters. This is why I'm thinking about getting the gas tank replaced, which is kinda expensive.

But I still have the Avalanche so it's not like I have no vehicles. Caddy's not mine :)

A DIY tank replacement in an S10 isn't all THAT bad. PIA, yes, but not too hard to do.

I would not take it to a dealer$hip, find a local shop with a not suck reputation and it'll be good.

Replace the fuel pickup sock and filter at the same time of course.
